Prevention And Empowerment

Preventing Abuse Before It Begins

CEAH works not only to support survivors - but to prevent abuse.
We deliver awareness and education activities through:

  • Community events including using music, cultural events, arts and crafts to raise awareness and engage communities in preventing domestic violence and abuse
  • Workshops
  • Digital outreach

These activities:

  • Promote prevention
  • Encourage reporting
  • Reduce stigma

All awareness activity is non-political and carried out in line with guidance from the Charity Commission for England and Wales.

Empowering Women and Girls

Women and girls are disproportionately affected by domestic abuse.

We support them to:

  • Recognise early warning signs
  • Build confidence and independence
  • Access support
  • Make informed life choices

Engaging Boys and Men

We engage boys and men to:

  • Promote respect and equality
  • Challenge harmful behaviours
  • Encourage accountability

This helps prevent abuse before it occurs.

Inclusivity
Our services are open to all individuals experiencing abuse or at risk of harm.
